(LPAN) On October 1, 2026, the Youth Sector of the Army Unexploded Ordnance Clearance and Disaster Relief Training Center (Center 523) launched a Sports Competition campaign for the second half of 2026 at the center’s sports field. The ceremony was chaired by Col. Pathana Boutthichack, Political Chief Commander of Center 523, with the Party Committee, departments, units, and youth union members in attendance.
The campaign aims to generate achievements to mark major national and military historical anniversaries, including the 51st National Day (December 2), the 78th anniversary of the Lao People’s Army, and the 72nd anniversary of the Engineer Corps. It also strives to foster a vibrant atmosphere, ensure unit safety and security, and continuously build a strong and modern military unit.
In addition, it also offered good opportunity to build up solidarity among participants so that they could help one another overcome hardships and fulfill their assigned missions together.
