VPMH reviews its defence mission operation

(LPAN) On July 01, 2026, Vientiane Provincial Military Headquarters (VPMH) recently held a meeting to review its defence operation in the first half of this year and approved a further plan for second half of year. The meeting was presided by Brig. Gen. Sudchay Mahavong, Political Chief Commander of Vientiane Provincial Military Headquarters, with members of the Party Standing Committee, Party Committee-Command Committee, and there were officers-combatants taking place.
This occasion, Lt. Col. Sivanthong Vorachit, Head of Office and Administration of the Vientiane Provincial Military Commander, briefly summarized the defence operation implementation having carried out by all personnel in the Vientiane Provincial Military Headquarters over the past six month. In the first half of the year, military personnel in the Vientiane Provincial Military Headquarters have fulfilled their mission in maintaining peace all sectors have been organized to protect the guests of the leaders, railways, highways, companies, and important national historical festivals, especially within the boundaries of Vientiane province, to ensure security 100%, and implementation of four major work plans and 26 projects issued by Ministry of Lao National Defence Party Committee, according to the report from a local military information officer.
At the end of the meeting, the General Political Department also passed a decision on the promotion of a number of military officers.
