Minister of Defence receives Turkish Ambassador to Laos

(LPAN) On June 11, 2026, Gen. Khamlieng Uthakaisone, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence received a courtesy visit from Ms. O Yayasa, Turkish Ambassador to Laos.
During the talk, Gen. Khamlieng Uthakaisone extended a warm welcome and highly appreciated the courtesy visit of Turkish Ambassador, which is a way to strengthen and enhance the friendly relations between the two countries for further development. The two sides also highly appreciated the cooperative relations in the past and discussed the direction of future cooperation plans, especially the exchange of national defense experience between delegations at various levels to serve as a guide to maintaining peace and stability in the country.
Then, Ms. O Yayasa expressed his sincere gratitude to Lao Minister of Defence and also promised to keep on Strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, including the Turkish and Lao militaries, to be even stronger and more fruitful in the future.
