GPD Continues Elevating Political and Ideological Standards for Personnel and Soldiers

(LPAN)On May 20, 2026, the General Political Department (GPD) pushed forward its political and ideological training program for officers, personnel, and soldiers across the department. The lecture was delivered by Colonel Vanheuang Sivilay, Editor-in-Chief of the Army Newspaper.
This training is to deepen the participants' understanding of the significance and core principles of National Defense and Public Security, in alignment with the Party's guidelines on "all-people and comprehensive" defense. Furthermore, the session aimed to heighten the vigilance of personnel and soldiers, equipping them to recognize the subtle tactics and strategies of "peaceful evolution" employed by hostile forces, and providing them with scientific methods to counter these threats. Ultimately, these efforts are geared toward ensuring political stability and social order, thereby creating favorable conditions for the citizens' livelihoods and the nation's continuous, sustainable socio-economic development.
