Border Defense Company 111 Announces New Command and Platoon Appointments

(LPAN)On May 18, 2026, Border Defense Company 111 hosted an official ceremony at its headquarters to announce new leadership appointments for its command staff and platoon levels. The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Xiengpheng Boualavong, Political Chief Commander of Phongsaly Provincial Military Headquarter. The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Khamchan Keomixay, Political Chief Commander of Border Defense Company 111, along with officers, soldiers, and relevant officials.
According to the decree, Captain Somchan Vannasane was appointed to take charge of Logistics and Technical Affairs, while Captain Bounthan Keoyatan was named Head of the 2nd Platoon.
On this occasion, Brigadier General Xiengpheng Boualavong urged the newly appointed officers to uphold a high sense of political responsibility, firmly grasp the Party's political guidelines, and strengthen internal unity within the unit to collectively develop and modernize the company.
