Battalion 512 completes training for new recruits

(LPAN) On April 24, 2026, Battalion 512 Training Center in Vientiane Capital has successfully completed an annual training exercise to its new recruits for the fiscal year 2025. The closing ceremony was presided by Brig. Gen. Sophavan Thammatheva, Political Chief Commander of the Vientiane Provincial Military Headquarters, with Comrade Kongmee Sisamweong, Chairman of the Pak Ngum District Administrative Committee and there were commanding officers, invited guests, instructors and all trainees taking place.
In this ninety day training, new recruits will learn both theory and practice in 4 main subjects; politics, military tactics, logistics and technique. Finally, Brig. Gen. Sophavan Thammatheva, also expressed his appreciation for the achievements made in the past and emphasized to the new military cadets who graduated in this batch: After graduating, if they are assigned to any division, each comrade must work hard to implement the division's duties well, pay attention to strictly implementing the army's regulations and rules, including the 07 regimes and 18 tasks in a day set by the higher level, have strong internal unity, and actively train and refine themselves in all aspects, aiming to become good officers and soldiers who will succeed the division in order to complete all tasks assigned by the higher level in the short and long term.
