Vietnam’s Army Corps 15 Leaders Visit and Extend Lao New Year Greetings to Border Development Cooperation Steering Committee

(LPAN) On April 7, 2026, a high-level delegation from Army Corps 15 of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam visited and extended greetings to the Lao-Vietnam Border Development Cooperation Steering Committee of the Lao Ministry of National Defense on the occasion of the Lao Traditional New Year (Boun Pi Mai), B.E. 2569. The delegation was led by Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Army Corps 15, and was warmly received by Lieutenant General Xaychay Kommasith, Vice Minister of National Defense, and General Director of the General Staff Department of the Lao People’s Army.
During the meeting, Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai expressed his appreciation for the warm and sincere welcome from the leadership of the Lao Ministry of National Defense and the Border Development Cooperation Steering Committee. He further extended his best wishes for health, happiness, and success to the Lao leaders, hoping for the bond between the two units to remain unbreakable and continue to flourish.
In response, Lieutenant General Xaychay Kommasith expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai and his delegation for their visit. He wished the Vietnamese delegation robust health and success in their duties, while reaffirming the commitment to preserving the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, Armies, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam for generations to come.
