Division 2 and Division 316 under Vietnamese Military Region 2 review their cooperation

(LPAN) On September 30, 2026, the Division 2 of the Lao People’s Army and Division 316 under Military Region 2 of Vietnamese People’s Army held a meeting to discuss about the achievement of cooperation in Xayyabouly Province, Lao PDR. The meeting was co-chaired by Brig. Gen. Khamphiew Manivong, Political Chief Commander of Division 2, and Col. Bui The Dung, Military Chief Commander of Division 316 and there were representatives from both sides taking part in.
At the meeting, both sides had reviewed the achievement of cooperation and exchange experience by re-evaluating mutual cooperation in different fields over the past year and approved a further plan. The two sides agreed to further continue exchange information to continuously strengthen the special solidarity, comprehensive partnership, and strategic cooperation between Division 2 and Division 316 in particular, and to keep on contributing in strengthening the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and armies, Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos in dept.
