Three villages in Beng District approved as strong national defence villages

(LPAN) On September 28, 2026, there was a ceremony to declare three villages of Channmai, Tongthoun, and Mokvieng villages of Bengluang Sub-district as Strong National Defence Families and Villages. Taking part in the ceremony were Vice President of the Bengluang Sub-district Administrative Committee, led by Mr. Xaysavath, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the Beng District National Defence and Security Committee, Mr. Khamphone Phimmalath, Political Chief Commander of the Oudomxay Provincial Military Headquarters, Col. Xaiphon Korxomphou, Concerning Officers and Representatives of Local Authority. “Over the past years, under the leadership of Party Committee of village , local authority and people have implemented a village group development plan to progressively build and develop their villages in which shown the solidarity and responsibilities of concerning officials as well as people enthusiastically participate in improving productive movements for example living condition development and managing village fund to help people eradicate poverty,” according to Political Chief Section of the Beng District Military Headquarters, Maj. Khamfan Lorvannoy. “The three villages have paid attention to defend and prevent against enemy’s peaceful changing strategy to the Lao revolution. The village authorities pay important roles in guiding villagers to cooperate in political grass root building, militia’s activities, village safeguarding and others,” he added.
