New School Year Opens at Viengxay Military Non-Commission School No.2

(LPAN) On September 1, 2026, a new school year opening ceremony was held at Viengxay Military Non-Commission School No.2 (MNCS2). The ceremony was presided by Maj. Gen. Vanthong Bouattavong, Deputy Director of the General Staff Department (GSD), Brig. Gen. Vongmanichan Samavong Military Chief Commander of MNCS2 and there were Board of Directors, Party-Command Committees, instructors and students taking place.
Col. Khamla Vongsomphou, Deputy Military Head of the school, presented the teaching and training plan for academic year, and Col. Bounmee Taixayyavong, Deputy Political Head of the school, launched the "Good Teaching, Good Learning" emulation campaign for 2026–2027. The curriculum is aligned with the LPA’s strategy on force building and improvement, the national army school conference resolutions, and the implementation activities of the 4 major tasks and 26 programs set by the Party Committee of the Ministry of National Defense, as well as guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
This occasion, Maj. Gen. Vanthong Bouattavong emphasized to the party-command committee to pay attention in improving educational standard quality, and he also urged all teachers to apply modern technology into their teaching and training mission to ensure the qualified standard.
