The official appointment ceremony for the Political Chief Commander of the 201st Regiment under Division 2 took place on July 30, 2026. The ceremony was chaired by Brigadier General Dr. Khamphew Manivong, Political Chief Commander of Division 2, along with members of the Party Command-Committee, the Command Board, division departments, relevant offices, guests, and key personnel.
Lieutenant Colonel Sonphet Vannaxay was appointed as the Political Chief Commander and Party Committee Secretary of the 201st Regiment. “According to the official Decree of the Ministry of National Defense regarding the appointment”
On this occasion, Brigadier General Dr. Khamphew Manivong instructed the Party Command-Committee and key officers of the 201st Regiment to heighten their sense of political responsibility, adhere to collective leadership with clear task assignments, serve as role models in maintaining military discipline, and continue contributing to unit building and improving the living standards of officers and soldiers.
Following the ceremony, Brigadier General Dr. Khamphew Manivong and his delegation visited and addressed the officers and soldiers of Company 26 under Division 2.
