Division 1 handover boat construction project at Battalion 561

(LPAN) On June 25, 2026, the Division 1 held an official handover ceremony boat construction project to Engineering Battalion 561 in the Nam Ngum 2 Reservoir. The ceremony was presided over by Brig. Gen. Khaomany Siphone, Political Chief Commander of Division 1, Col. Khamsao Linthakunkeo, Military Chief Commander of Division 1, Lt. Col. Vongkat Pitsaphone, Political Chief Commander of Engineering Battalion 561, along with relevant committees and parties taking in.
Lt. Col. Phonexay Saypanya, Military Chief Commander of Engineering Battalion 561, reported on the implementation of the boat construction project through the inspection of the Division 1 Subcommittee on November 28, 2025; Engineering Battalion began to implement it from April 1, 2026 to May 1, 2026. The project received funding from Division 1 Amount 72,000,000kip combined with the Battalion's funding 16,593,000kip; the total construction Cost 88,593,000kip.
On this occasion, Brig. Gen. Khaomany Siphone, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Division Commander, handed over the boat to the Engineering Battalion to manage, preserve and use for its value, longevity and maximum benefit. Then, both sides signed a memorandum of handover and led the Division leadership and departments on a boat tour to see the scenery of the Nam Ngum Reservoir and further inspect the responsibilities of the Engineering Battalion.
